Benefit BBQ This Week

There will be a BBQ Benefit for Andy Barrineau to help cover medical expenses this Thursday, September 2nd from 4:30-7:00p.m. at the home of Bobby Mitchell, behind the Cairo Burger King.  The dinner will include pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw and bread for $8.00 per plate.  To purchase tickets, call 672-1327.

Sadler Reunion Coming September 11th

The 11th annual Sadler Reunion wil be held at the Wayside Community Center on Saturday, September 11th.  Everyone is invited to bring their favorite covered dish and drinks.  The community center is loved on the Open Pond Road in Grady County.  Doors will open at 10a.m. with lunch served at noon.  For more information, call Emma Edenfield at 872-3901.

Eastside Church to Hold Lay Renewal Weekend

Charity Seeking Beanie Babies for Soldiers

Operation Gratitude is in urgent need of new and used Beanie Babies which will be shipped to our U.S. troops to use to give to children in Afghanistan in return for information regarding the location of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).  Pleae take your Beanie Babies to Southern Insurance or Stallings Motors in Cairo by Friday, October 1st.

Sign Up for Golf Tournament Now

The 3rd Annual Grady County Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, October 14th at the Cairo Country Club.  The 4-person Ft. Lauderdale Style Scramble will have a 1:00p.m. shotgun start, preceded by lunch at 12noon.  To sign up for the tournament, call SWGTC at 225-3977.

Sunday School Workshop Coming in September

The Grady County Baptist Association is sponsoring a Sunday School Equipping Workshop on Saturday, September 111th from 8:30am-noon at the Pine Level Baptist Church. This event was formerly known as Ridgecrest in South Georgia and will teach those attending fundamentals of how to train Sunday School workers.  For more information, call 377-2761.
